Thomas Tuchel Chelsea were in Champions League action once again last night as they capsized Swedish side Malmo in the group stages.

The visitors weren’t much of a challenge for Chelsea at all, but the players on the pitch still amped up to put on a good and crucial performance after a breath-taking game against Brentford at the weekend even though they scrapped a win.

A lot of questions have been asked lately about Callum Hudson-Odoi and why he is not playing as much as he would like, and then when he does play he is only getting a little amount of time or being asked to play as a wing-back.

We all know his best position is in the left attacking role, and even Thomas Tuchel agrees with that. But he has been demonstrating after the Malmo win yesterday that sometimes he needs to take one for the team and play as a wing-back.

Tuchel said:

“This is his best position [left wing] but sometimes he needs to help as a right wing-back. He needs to take it for the team but we know the left position upfront is his best position.”
