Arsenal are tenth in the league going into this weekend’s north London derby.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is well into his Arsenal tenure with more than a year in charge and three transfer windows in passed. However, he claims that the team are still not his.
Arsenal’s roller coaster ride in the Premier League (PL) continued this weekend, as they were held by Burnely in another disappointing result.
They went into the weekend with only one defeat in their last five encounters across competitions and on the back of a stunning comeback victory against high flying Leicester.
But the Gunners remained tenth in the PL table and Arteta admits the league position is ‘not acceptable’.

The Spaniard said when asked about this team being his own or not as quoted by Goal: “Very far. Very, very far. There’s still a lot to improve, a lot of quality to add. Much more efficient in decision-making, much quicker to open situations up when advantages are there, many more situations to feel when advantages are obtained.
More control of games, more defensive actions in the opponent’s half, fewer giveaways in our own half, more clean sheets. There’s a lot to do – more goals to score, more creativity. A lot to do.”
Arteta is not at all pleased with where his side are in at the moment in terms of league position. He claims, a side of Arsenal’s stature should not be where the team is at the moment and warns that not one can be happy with their position. But on the flip side he sees the team slowly getting better.
