Arsenal legend Alan Smith has told the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and and the head of Arsenal recruitment, Edu, to go all out to sign Aston Villa striker Ollie Warkins.

There has been speculations that the Gunners will be in the market by January to scout for a striker as the Future of Alexandre Lacazette, and Eddie Nketiah are not certain.

Also, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang future remain in doubts after the striker was stripped off his captaincy last week due to disciplinary reasons, and the Gunners need to bring in a nee striker that will fit in if the Gabon international will be taking the exist rout.

According to Sky Sports, the former England forward Alan Smith urged the North London club to go for Aston Villa top man Ollie Watkins. Smith said.

“In terms of his movement, maybe Ollie Watkins is a striker I’d have thought Arsenal would look at, but are they looking at him? I’m not sure Steven Gerrard would be letting him go in a hurry.

“However, that kind of mobile central striker that will really threaten in behind defenders, perhaps, is a bit more like it.”

However, its possible that Aubameyang might asked his contract to be terminated at the end of the season after the Gabon international stripped of his role as the captain and Mikel Arteta has asked him to train alone away from the team.
