SAD NEWS for Gunner’s as Many Arsenal Players hit by ‘sickness bug’ ahead of Leicester Clash

Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta is lamenting over the health of some of his players with sickness bug preventing some of his squad to train ahead of Saturday calsh against Leicester City.

The Arsenal Boss says that the sickness bug has spread all over the squad, which prevent some players from training and unable to to get ready for the trip to Kong Power Stadium.

Mikel Arteta while spaking in his pre-match conference (as quoted by Mirror) says; “It was a bit of sickness, tummy aches and stuff like that. Hopefully everyone will be OK,” Arteta said at his press conference on Friday.

“[White] hasn’t trained yet so we will have to wait and see how he is feeling and make the decision then.

“A few have been unable to train and we also picked up some knocks in the game against Leeds as well. Hopefully we will have better news.”

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney was outside against Leeds United in the Gunner’s 2-0 win with an ankle knock, and Arteta says the team will monitor his fitness before the Leicester game.

“He’s progressing training,” said the Spanish boss.

“Let’s see how he is today. He felt a bit better last few days but he wasn’t 100% the other day to start the game.

“Again we’ll see what happens is in the last 48 hours.”

In Tierney’s absence summer signing Nuno Tavares has display some brilliant performance, with the Portuguese gaining the Gunnner’s faithful heart with his display in the win over Aston Villa in their last Premier League game.

“Yeah he had an impressive performance for the first Premier League debut and to play the way he did with that intensity which he is not used to,” he said.

“Credit to the boy. I really like what he did. He’s still really young, he’s improving and he had a really good performance.”
