Mikel Arteta Arsenal side are finding it hard to get a top-level players attention as they source for new signning with Ruben Neves move hanging on the air.
It was revealed by Dean Jones that Ruben Neves is currently not sure of joining Arsenal and he would rather wait for a move to Manchester United instead.
Jones, who is a transfer insider reporting to Eurosport, in a recent episode of football Terrace podcast with Terry Flewers disclosed this.
Ruben Neves has been playing for Wolvehamton since 2017/2018 campaign and he has established himself as one of the figure to describe Premier League players, Neves is also an important figure in the Portugal National team.
Dean Jones made it known that Arsenal have tried to bring the 24-years-old to Emirate Stadium but Neves is not convinced yet if he had to switch to Arsenal at this stage of his career.
It’s not surprise that Neves is unsure about Arsenal move, considring the struggles the Gunnees have faced last season and seasons before, with no hope of European football whatsoever..
Dean Jones words on Neves’ joining Arsenal this summer:
“I haven’t even heard much about Aouar to be honest, but in terms of Neves, they’ve definitely tried that.”
“Again, the player’s not sure if that’s the right move for him at this stage. With Man United also in view for him, he’d rather wait things out and see whether that will actually come to fruition.”
Neves looks wise with this decision, Manchester United could be the best team to join at the meoment with the arrival of some world-class players in Jadon Sancho and Rapheal Varane who just signed.
