Ronaldo could miss £5 MILLION in bonuses at Manchester United

Manchester United will miss out on the possibility of a £5 MILLION bonus payout to Cristiano Ronaldo.

In order to offset the decline in his Juventus wages of £750,000 a week, Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford on a bonus-related contract last summer.

But the Red Devils beat Champions League rivals Manchester City to sign the 37-year-old.

If United had reached the Champions League final, Ronaldo would have earned an estimated £2.5m, according to the Sun.

It also cost United up to £1.5m to win their first Premier League title since 2013.

Additionally, both of the domestic cup competitions crumbled.

It would be even more devastating for him if he did not finish in the top four, considering his salary is half what it was in Italy.
