Another Problem as Romelu Lukaku risk enraging Chelsea fans as his new social media activity emerge online

Romelu Lukaku

Following an explosive interview in which he confessed his dissatisfaction with life at Stamford Bridge, Romelu Lukaku has risked further enraging Chelsea fans through his social media activities.

After winning the Serie A title with Inter Milan, the Belgian striker returned to the Blues for a club-record price in the summer transfer window.

His return to Chelsea has not gone as planned, with the 28-year-old was sidelined by injury and a case of Covid-19 limiting his contribution for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Tuchel tried to ease Lukaku back into action that after his return from an ankle injury that kept him out of six games in all competitions. Lukaku started four consecutive games on the bench.

With his conduct on social media, Romelu Lukaku has risked further enraging Chelsea fans.

That plan, however, did not sit well with the striker, who expressed his displeasure with developments since his return to Chelsea in a fiery interview with Sky Sports Italia.

“I feel better than ever after two years in Italy, where I worked so hard at Inter with the training team and dietician,” Lukaku remarked.

“However, I am dissatisfied with the situation at Chelsea, which is understandable. I believe the coach went with a different system.

“All I have to do now is keep working and being professional.” I’m not thrilled with how things are going, but I’m a hard worker who can’t give up.”

Worse, he’s making things worse on social media.

First and foremost, despite the fact that his Facebook profile photo and banner have been modified since his return to Chelsea, his bio still simply says “Inter Milan.”

Lukaku has kept fans updated on social media on a regular basis, with his most recent post on Thursday, December 30th, following the draw against Brighton.

Lukaku’s Facebook page still reads Inter Milan on his bio.

“Not the way the year should end, but we go on,” he captioned four photos from the game in that post.

Despite these regular revisions, Lukaku’s bio still bears the name of his former club.

Fans have also noticed that his Twitter account has been removed, with anyone searching for the Belgian’s official profile being greeted with the phrase “this account does not exist.”

Lukaku’s social account was said to have later been deleted weeks ago, with the Belgium man also turning off any comments on his social Instagram profile.

Tuchel insists there is a way back for Lukaku from his present banishment, and Lukaku is due for showdown meetings with Tuchel in the early part of this week.

“He’s our player, he’ll be our player, and we’ll always protect our guy,” Chelsea manager tuchel said after his side’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

“At first we must go deep on the issue, not following the media or to pressure, and considering what he said and why he said so. Then we’ll decide if he’ll be ready to go for Wednesday.

“I can’t really say much now because we need to communicate further and find a good understanding on the current issue on ground, and then we’ll move on from there.” He will remain our player and safeguard our player until the situation becomes clear.”
