“I had two opportunities” – Romelu Lukaku reveals how he rejected Chelsea twice before last summer return

Chelsea summer signing Romelu Lukaku has revealed how chelsea earlier failed to lure him back to Stamford Bridge on two occassion.

Lukaku return to Stamford Bridge this summer in a club recoerd deal from Serie A Champion Inter Milan.

Lukaku was once a Chelsea player at the early days of his career, as young as 18-years, Lukaku had a dream to become iconic figure at Stamford Bridge, but the dreams look crushed when he was sold away to another Premier League rival and couldn’t earned an opportunity to prove himself before leaving Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea hasn’t departed from the striker heart as he always wish he could one day return to the club.

The striker once claimed that Chelsea return is a chance of a lifetime after sealing his return from Inter Milan.

However, Chelsea has been on Lukaku rader for a long time with the striker reaveling the blues had ealier made a move for him on two occasion while speaking to Chelsea.co website on Monday.

“I knew I would improve as a player so it was just about timing,’ he explains about returning to Stamford Bridge.

“I had two opportunities to come back, in 2016 and 2017, but it didn’t happen for various reasons.” Lukaku said.

No doubt, Chelsea needed him the most and the blues had no other option available than to give whatever it takes to bring him back to London.
