“Maybe Arsenal are interested” €35m Renato Sanches acknowledged desire to join Arteta at Arsenal

Renato Sanches has acknowledged that Arsenal may be keen on securing his transfer ftom Lille, while the Portuguese midfielder also reveals he is ready to take the next step in his professional career.

Renato Sanches joined German champion Bayern Munich five-years ago on a initial €35 million deal but the midfielder failed to meet up to expectation at the Allianz Arena.

Sanches join Premier League side Swansea on loan from Bayern Munich where he spend his loan spell before moving to Lille in France where he has been rebranding himself and rebuilding his reputation all along.

The Portuguese midfielder helped Lille to Ligue 1 victory last season, while also in an impressive form for his National team Portugal at the Euro 2020 over the summer.

He has been in transfer news in recent weeks with a whole host of clubs interested in him but only Arsenal and AC Milan look serious in landing the 24-years-old midfielder.

Recently, Renato Sanches had an interview with L’Equipe and the 24-years-old Portuguese revealed how be struggled at Bayern Munich before moving forward and he’s ready to make another big step.

‘When I arrived at Bayern, I was not ready to play in such a club. I was very young, and when I got ready, the opportunity to play with this team never came,’ he said.

‘Today I feel ready. I understand football better, I have more experience, I know what to do to play in this kind of club and that changes everything.’

‘Maybe Milan and Arsenal are interested but I don’t know,’ Renato added.

‘I spoke with my agent, I know which clubs are calling and which are not, but I can’t tell now. I know I’m ready. If an offer comes in, I’ll find out what’s best for me.’ He said.
