4-2-3-1 Predicted ARSENAL Line up to face LIVERPOOL in Thursday Carabao Cup Semi-final

Liverpool vs Arsenal - Predicted Arsenal line up -Carabao Cup

PREDICTED ARSENAL LINE UP: Arsenal suffered an unexpected defeat in the FA Cup as Nottingham Forest beat them 1-0 on Sunday day in the 3rd Round.

Now may get even more complicated as the North Londoner takes on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursdays.

Because the first leg of the competition was postponed owing to a COVID outbreak in the Liverpool camp, the two teams will play the first leg of the semi-final this week, whereas the other two teams (Chelsea and Spurs) will play the second leg on Wednesday.

Arsenal’s form had improved in recent weeks, but they looked like their old ugly selves against Forest in the FA Cup third round. Mikel Arteta will be looking for a quick response from his team in midweek, but it won’t be easy against a fully fit Liverpool side.

Since certain crucial players have gone off for the Africa Cup of Nations, the Arsenal manager’s selection procedure has become even more difficult for the Spaniard. The Gunners also have a North London Derby next weekend, so Arteta will be focused on that Premier League match.

Arsenal Versus Liverpool Team News:

Leno did start against Forest, although Aaron Ramsdale will return to the starting lineup against Reds.

In central defense, Ben White and Gabriel will start, although Tomiyasu’s availability, which is currently recovering from a calf injury, is in doubt.

Smith, Emile Rowe is yet another injured (groin) concern for the semi-final, and Mikel Arteta has conceded both he and Tomiyasu would be hit or miss in terms of availability.

“It depends,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta claimed after the club’s FA Cup exit. They couldn’t play because they were injured [Tomiyasu and Smith Rowe]. Gabi was placed on leave. I’ll have to check how they were in a few days.”

Elneny and Thomas Partey have left for the African Cup of Nations, while Maitland-Niles has signed a loan deal with Roma. Granit Xhaka, to make matters worse, has contracted COVID, and it remains to be seen whether he is fully fit or not.

After testing positive for Covid, Granit Xhaka and Folarin Balogun will miss the encounter, while Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss due to a tight groin and a tight right calf, respectively.

If the Swiss international is unable to participate, Lokonga and Odegaard will be forced to play in central midfield with Smith Rowe as the number ten.

“I’m not sure.” On whether Xhaka would play on Thursday, Arteta stated, “It will depend on the next few outings and how he feels.”

Because Nicolas Pepe and Aubameyang have both joined their respective teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, Bukayo Saka and Martinelli will continue to play in the wide positions, with Lacazette playing in the center.
