Arsenal will be visiting Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday evening, and their new interim boss Ralf Rangnick has something to say.

Manchester United will be playing their first Premier League game after appointing a new manager Ralf Rangnick against Arsenal.

Ralf Rangnick is not expected to be on the touchline against Arsenal but if United were able to finalised his work permit before Thursday, then the German boss should be in tbe dugout for the visit of the North London club.

Ralf Rangnick could be reunited with Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe on Thursday.

Rangnick sign Smith Rowe on lone from Arsenal while still at RB Leipzig in the second-half of 2018-19 campaign.

‘He’s shown in training why we took him on loan,’ Rangnick said on Emile Smith Rowe back in 2019.

‘He’s got a brilliant mixture of good physique, speed and an unbelievably good shooting technique.’

The German manager also described Smith Rowe as an ‘exceptionally gifted player’ during his time at the club with the midfielder now a key figure under Arteta in north London.

Ralf Rangnick has also sung the praises of Kieran Tierney.

Ahead of a Europa League clash between Celtic and RB Leipzig in 2018, the German manager praised the left-back as a future star of the game six months before he seal his move to Arsenal.

‘Tierney, McGregor and Edouard are great talents in Scottish football,’ Rangnick said.

‘Tierney in particular is one of the biggest talents in Europe. He can defend and he likes to go forward.

‘Those three are good players but Celtic are well known for not letting players go for a bargain.’
