RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai

According to reports, the London giants are willing to make a €40 million bid for Dominik Szoboszlai, yet RB Leipzig would not sell the midfielder without a battle.

One of Europe’s most brilliant attackers, Hungary’s international is one of the best in the world.

Szoboszlai have been a part of the Red Bull setup since 2018, and in 2020 he was eventually transferred from RB Salzburg to RB Leipzig. Haven collected a €20 million transfer fee, Dominik became the most expensive Hungarian player in history.

Injury has forced him to wait until this term to end the long awaited RB Leipzig debut.

But, since then, the 21-year-old attacker has been able to create a name for himself in the Bundesliga. This season, the Hungarian forward has seven goals and four assists across all tournaments. Because of his recent form, he has appeared Mikel Arteta radar once again.

After expressing interest in the Hungarian while at RB Salzburg, the Spanish manager has resumed his attention to him. Dominik’s contract is said to have a €60 million release clause attached to it, according to reports. The Gunners, on the other hand, are said to believe a price of roughly €40 million is more appropriate.

An offer which seems very unlikely to arrive until next summer window. However, the Gunners are sure to have set the summer of 2022 as the time to increase their squad quality.

Dominik Szoboszlai is also said to be more than will to complete a move to the Premier League, though convincing RB Leipzig to sell is very unlikely.

Leipzig are said to be unwilling to enter into negotiations with any team for a player who was only recently signed. Only time can tell if deciding to wait until next transfer window june will soften their fans.

Regardless, if Dominik continues to improve throughout the season, the Gunners’ mooted €40 million offer may swiftly become insufficient.
