Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta details what must be done in order for them to be title contenders next season

Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta's details what must be done

In order to contend with their rivals, Arsenal must keep 30 clean sheets.

The midfielder believes he needs to score 90 to 100 goals if his side is to compete with the top teams in the Premier League.

Arteta’s young side, which has scored just 43 goals in 27 matches this season, have been a major source of frustration for the Gunners.

In order to contend for the title next season, Arteta expects his squad to score many more goals.

Comparatively, Manchester City lead the table with 68 goals, Liverpool holds second position with 75, and Chelsea holds third place with 57.

In the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal are becoming increasingly dependent on Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah this summer.

In Arsenal’s squad, Emile Smith Rowe is the only player with at least ten goals in all competitions this season. Bukayo Saka ranks second with nine goals, while the now-departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is third.

After leaving Arsenal for Barcelona, the Gabonese forward scored seven goals. Lacazette and Nketiah, on the other hand, have scored just 11 goals combined across all competitions.
