Report: Manchester United in battle with Chelsea and Manchester City in Pape Matar Sarr transfer race

Manchester United have reportedly joined Chelsea and Manchester city in signing 18-years-old Pape Matar Sarr from Metz.

Matar Sarr could end up in Premier League this summer with three of the biggest Premier League teams monitoring the teenager.

According to a report from The Sun, Manchester United are currently leading on the race to secure Matar Sarr signature.

The Senegal international had a fantastic season with Metz last season, pulling on series of impressive performance. the 18-years-old Senegalese was rewarded with his first cap for Senegal back in March after breaking into Metz first team.

The 18-years-old made 22 appearance for Metz in Ligue one last season with three goals to his name, and proving some impressive stats

The Sun claimed, that Manchester United has been monitoring the teenager and the reds are ready to fight off competitions from two of their close Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City.

Sarr still have four years left on his Metz contract after signing five years long-term deal with the French club last season, Metz won’t really see this as an issue if united or any other team could meet up with their price.
