Liverpool Player Ratings 2022: The Ultimate Team Rating

For the purpose of providing a more lighthearted perspective on FIFA 22 and Liverpool player ratings, I put myself in the mindset of my younger self in order to examine and evaluate Liverpool FC’s ratings. Should I be upset about the fact that Heung Min-Son is given the same rating as Mohamed Salah? You’ll just have to investigate further to find out, I guess.

Yes, we have reached that point in the calendar year once more: the yearly frenzy surrounding FIFA ratings for the FIFA 22 edition. Even though these made-up numbers don’t mean anything at all, it’s incredible to see the impact they have on football fans all over the world of football.

I, for one, have been guilty of falling into this trap, and I used to frequently make the mistake of overthinking the psychological impact that a rating would have upon a player’s actual confidence. Now, all I do to pass the time is scroll through the timeline on Twitter and watch as fans lose their minds because their favorite player was given a rating that was not commensurate with their abilities. I find this quite entertaining.

Although Heung Min-Son is undeniably a talent of the highest order, I believe that we can all agree that he is not on the extraordinary footballing level of our Egyptian King, Mohamed Salah. To be fair, I am genuinely curious as to how Heung Min-Son has managed to achieve the same rating as Mohamed Salah.

In any case, I have the impression that the ranking of Salah on his alone has sparked enough of a fire within me to challenge what I am certain will be extremely low ratings for Liverpool!

The General Overview of Liverpool Players

There are 29 distinct players affiliated with Liverpool who are rated in FIFA 22, with ratings ranging from 57 to 89. The highest rating any of these players has received is 89. It’s possible that I’ll have to launch a petition in order to demand justice for Billy Koumetio and Morgan Boyes, who are, sadly, at the very bottom of the Red’s rating list. Due to the fact that Ibrahima Konate is a new player to the club, he has been given a “ones to watch” card, which indicates that his overall rating has the potential to increase in line with how well the team and individual players really perform. (Something that I have no doubt will be displayed by Liverpool during this season).

It should not come as a surprise that Mo Salah is the first Red to win a Team of the Week card in game week 1 as a reward for his outstanding performances against Crystal Palace and AC Milan. These cards are given out as a way of recognizing outstanding achievements by players.

Twenty players of the Liverpool team have been given Gold-rated cards, seven have been given Silver-rated cards, and two have been given Bronze-rated cards. If you choose to play as the Redmen in Kick Off or Seasons, this indicates a strong squad within the game because 14 of the Redmen have ratings of 80 or higher. Given what appears to be a ratings tone down this year by EA Sports, this indicates a strong squad within the game.

I mean, regardless of the circumstances, why on earth would you ever be persuaded to play as a team other than the formidable Reds? The appeal of having an entire forward line at PSG with ratings of 91 or above cannot possibly compete with the excitement that a free kick taken by Trent Alexander-Arnold generates.

Having said all of this, I just want to express my happiness that Liverpool has a squad that can be used. After struggling through many of the years of the 2010s with a subpar team, I almost have the impression that I ought to be thankful for the current position that our football club finds itself in.

Liverpool Players Who Really Stand Out

Liverpool has four of the top twenty-two ranked players in FIFA 22, making them a formidable opponent. The players Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Alisson, and Virgil Van Dijk all have a rating of 89 in the game. Due to the fact that the same four players had all been rated at 90 in the prior edition of FIFA, this actually signifies a tiny drop in Liverpool’s ratings.

Although I can understand why Alisson and Mane were demoted due to their difficult seasons in 2018, I believe that Van Dijk still holds the title of greatest center-back in the world, and Mohamed Salah’s incredible season in 2017 does not warrant a demotion in his rating. In my opinion, neither of these two guys should have been scored lower than 91. Is it true that Neymar is a better player than Mo Salah? I’ll defer to your judgment on that matter, patrons.

What the company is aware of, however, is its fullbacks. Both Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson have maintained their positions as the highest-rated fullbacks in the game, with a score of 87 for each of them. This accurately portrays their status as the best right and left backs in the world, which is uncontested.

Rated Very Strictly

In the Liverpool squad for the upcoming FIFA tournament, there are a few players who, in my opinion, have been given unfairly high ratings. Even if it might be the result of a general trend toward lowering ratings across the board, certain ratings continue to leave me rather perplexed.

Jordan Henderson’s overall rating has gone down two points, to 84. It is incomprehensible to me why this is the case given that he is still considered to be one of the most productive midfielders in European football. In addition to this, Fabinho, who is widely regarded as the best defensive midfielder in the world, has seen his rating drop from 87 to 86.

When I saw that Casemiro had a rating of 89, I assumed that Fabinho would likewise get a rating of 89. However, I was surprised to see that he did not. It’s possible that it’s connected to the horrible impression I have that people outside of the Liverpool circle have of criminally underrating Fabinho’s abilities. This viewpoint has to shift, and it has to shift right now if it is going to survive.

Being down to a player with a rating of 80 for the third time should make Naby Keita feel like he’s been treated unfairly. Even though he has not lived up to the lofty standards set for him at Anfield, when he is on his game, he is undeniably one of the most influential midfielders in the league. However, he is not on par with Scott McTominay in this regard. (It’s only a game, Omer; try not to take it too seriously.)

Despite the fact that many people, including myself, believe that Joel Matip is one of the top five center-backs in the Premier League, the player’s overall rating is still set at 83.

Curtis Jones may feel as though he was treated unfairly by his 73-rated silver card, despite the fact that his rating has improved by nine points. His breakthrough season the year before seemed to be enough to earn him a significant upgrade from a bronze to a gold, especially considering that other players from his country, Eberechi Eze and Emile Smith-Rowe, achieved similar performances in the 2020/21 season as well (both ranked 77).

Is it possible that the young Scouser will take this terrible rating and use it as the fuel necessary to create enough in the following few months to earn himself an upgrade for the winter? It is highly possible that he is not concerned in the least, but I have no doubt that he will play for Liverpool this season.

Kostas Tsimikas is a man who, in my opinion, will perform well enough this winter to merit an elevation. His performances so far this season have proved his high quality, which resulted in him being demoted two ratings to a silver rating of 74. After a somewhat disappointing first season, I can see why EA decided to demote him to a lower tier. On the other hand, it would appear that the quick left-back possesses the quality to earn a gold card by January. For the time being, he continues to be a silver star, right with the likes of Jones and Harvey Elliott!

Who knows, maybe the silver players won’t become obsolete, and Electronic Arts might fully overhaul their game by bringing back the fun of using silver cards. All cultured FIFA players who yearn to relive their best ultimate team days long for the days when Gabby Agbonlahor and Christian Benteke led an all-silver team, and those days leave a sweet taste of nostalgia in their mouths. They yearn to live their best ultimate team days again through the spirit of silver. Therefore, you should not put too much stock in the silver Redmen just yet.

Conclusion

I suppose that wasn’t such a big deal after all. Despite the apparent tone of sarcasm above, please forgive me for the tongue-in-cheek character of this article. Despite what it may seem like, I am actually thrilled about playing FIFA 22 this year.

despite a general decline in ratings, which was to be expected given their fall from first to fourth place after previously holding the title. Even in FIFA 22, Liverpool FC has one of the most talented teams in the world. It doesn’t matter if you play the game offline or online; this team seems like a lot of fun, and it’s one that I would definitely recommend playing as instead of any of those superfluous super teams.

If you want to avoid any trouble, just make sure you don’t play as Manchester United.

Stay tuned for upcoming FIFA articles as I’ll be providing you with advice and insight on anything Liverpool-related in those pieces. In order to put you in the best position possible for the ultimate team grind, I will concentrate on powerful players, recently released cards, and potential deals. Be like Diogo Jota and don’t buy your team; instead, I recommend that you build it up from the ground up because, in my opinion, doing so is a lot more fun and is kind of like the way Liverpool does things, don’t you think?
