UPDATE: Ligue 1 club set price tag for Arsenal top midfield target

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal is one of the clubs interested in signing Ligue 1 midfilder Georginio Wijnaldum, who is struggling to make an impact with PSG.

While he played in England, the Dutchman was a hero for Liverpool, inspiring them to win both the Champions League as well as the Premier League.

He has also played for Newcastle United in the English Premier League, and his background qualifies him as a player capable of putting up strong performances at the Emirates.

Arsenal has just improved their squad with some interesting young talents and a player of Wijnaldum’s experience in the dressing room could inspire the club to the next level. disclosed that PSG are willing to cashing in on the Dutch man and will accept a fee of around 18million to 23million euros for his service.

This figure might seems too much for a player who has already reached his 30s, but it would likely be negotiated only if Arsenal is serious and willing to sign him.

The now Ligue 1 midfielder was an important player back then in Premier League before moving to PSG for free, Arsenal mistake was never trying have to sign him as a free agent

Arsenal current midfield spot is occupied with fascinating and talented young future stars, but it is lacking player’s with top experience in winning trophies.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are the only players with a bit of experience, but they are not as experienced as Wijnaldum is, so signing him could be helpful, to having him as a teammate for the young stars will add more experience to the squad.
