Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has pour out word of support to his German duo of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner who struggled to prove their worths last season.
Chelsea sign both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner from Bundesliga clubs, Havertz was signed on a record €70 million from Bayer Leverkusen while Werner was signed from RB Leipzig during Frank Lampard managerial era last season.
However, the German boss has backed his three attackers including Hakim Ziyech, who joined Chelsea from Dutch Champion Ajax as the manager believed they will all improve ahead of the new season.
Tuchel in his word said as quoted by Metro sport reporter: ‘Maybe its sometimes also a question of composure as well as experience. Of having now a second year in the Premier League for Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, ‘ the German boss explained.
‘So adapting and not everything new will be a huge point and I’m confident. But it’s a mix of everything’
Timo Werner only found the back of the net six times in 35 Premier League appearance last campaign, while missing amd wasting several clear opportunities in front of goal.
Meanwhile, Kia Havertz looks to cost for the value render, with £70 million transfer fee one could be expecting something different than what he displayed last season.
Although, Havertz made a way for Chelsea to lift the Champions League Title last season as he scored the only goal that see Chelsea’s defeat Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League final.
‘We all dreamed of winning the Champions League one day, and of course now we have to prove it again and again,’ he said.
‘I think we have all a lot of goals this season. The Champions League title is not enough for us, we want to win more and that’s our aim for the season.
‘We have a very good squad, we have good players. That is the same for the pre-season, that everybody will be fit and that we are ready to play.’
The Blues will be adding Romelu Lukaku to thier squad as Thomas Tuchel look to booster his attacking force this season. Lukaku is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract soon.
Chelsea will be kicking off their 2021/2022 Premier League season as they will be hosting Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 14th of August.
