Jack Wilshere emphasizes another Arsenal youngster to follow after praising Charlie Patino

Jack Wilshere has indicated Charlie Patino isn’t the only Arsenal youngster potential to make a crucial first-team breakthrough in the not-too-distant future.

The former Gunners midfielder is presently without a club but has been back training at London Colney recently in a bid to regain fitness, as well as take his first steps towards earning his coaching badges.

JackWilshere revealed earlier this week that 17-year-old Patino, who barely missed out on making his senior debut in last month’s Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon, is the talk of the training ground.

Fellow attacking talent Omari Hutchinson, meanwhile, has been making an impact for the Under-23s this season and the teenager caught the eye again with a superb individual goal against Newport County during the midweek Papa John’s Trophy victory, and he too has grabbed Wilshere’s eye.

I’ve been to watch their last two games – their last one being against Newport which is men’s football so we can see where they are,’ Jack Wilshere told talkSPORT.

The one everyone talks about, who I haven’t seen up close yet, is Charlie Patino. I’ve seen clips of him and the people the staff has known about him.

‘He’s got the ability, he’s definitely got the ability. If you put him in a game with the first-team he wouldn’t look out of place.

‘In terms of dealing with the pressure, you don’t know until you’re there, especially with the fans back and a lot of pressure on the club to get results.

‘I think technically he’s definitely good enough
