Arsenal has received some injury boost, which will allow them to play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Mikel Arteta’s side were weak to field adequate first players for the North London Derby on Sunday, therefore the Gunners’ match against rivals Tottenham Hotspur was postponed.
Despite Granit Xhaka’s early red card, the cup encounter on Thursday should go ahead after a gallant goalless draw at Anfield last week.
While the midfielder will be suspended for the return encounter, as will defender Cedric Soares, manager Arteta will have plenty of alternatives for the second leg at the Emirates Stadium, according to some encouraging news from the treatment room.
After isolation, Martin Odegaard, who missed the very first leg due to a positive Covid-19 test, is likely to be available, as are Kierney Tierney, Calum Chambers, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Mikel Arteta would be pleased to see some important players returning back to training, the gunners will still be without some players still injured and others on international duty.
ARSENAL will hope to play a better second leg Against Liverpool in their home ground, as their visitors will also be prepared for a better outing.
