As a result of the win, Arsenal are now four points clear of Manchester United in fifth. However, there are three games left for the Gunners.

Leicester’s heads dropped after losing two goals, and Arsenal took advantage. Emile Smith Rowe was denied a goal off the bench by Kasper Schmeichel, who rushed off his line well to palm the strike away.

As Arsenal gained control at the start of the second half, Leicester’s backline buckled Disastrous when a hand was extended to prevent a header from Partey, resulting in a penalty kick for Arsenal.

As soon as the resulting spot kick was awarded, Lacazette stepped up to convert it slamming it into the top left corner of the net.

The players finally showed some signs of life around the half-hour mark, with Kieran Dewsbury-Hall and Harvey Barnes getting on the ball. In some minute, Aaron Ramsdale made a stunning save to clear Barnes’ header off the line.

Afterward, the hosts continued to dominate and Partey almost doubled their lead with a wonderful side-footed effort from the edge of the box, but the shot cannoned off the upright.

Having started well, Arsenal caused numerous problems for Leicester’s backline with Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli. And in the 10th minute, Partey headed in a Gabriel Martinelli corner to give the Gunners a deserved lead.

Arsenal defeated Leicester City 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, with goals from Thomas Partey and Alexandre Lacazette making the difference.
