Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi returns to FC Barcelona has been confrimed.

The Confiirmation of Xavi Barcelona Appointment is coming after Al-Sadd revealed that an agreement had been reached for the ex-Barcelona player to take over the Head of Manageria role at Camp Nou.

Xavi emerged as a possible next Barcelona manager following the sacking of Ronald Koeman.

Barcelona are currently seating in the ninth position on the La Liga table following a disappointing start to the season.

“The Al-Sadd administration has agreed on Xavi’s move to Barcelona after the payment of the release clause stipulated in the contract,” a statement on the club’s social media reads. “We’ve agreed on cooperation with Barcelona in the future. Xavi is an important part of Al-Sadd’s history and we wish him success.

“Xavi informed us a few days ago of his desire to go to Barcelona at this particular time because of the critical stage his hometown club is going through.

“We understand this and decided not to stand in his way.

“Xavi and his family will remain welcome in Doha, and our relationship will continue.”

Xavi will be leaving Al-Sadd after two seasons incharge, winning 64 out of his 97 ganes in-charge and adding four trophies to his name.

Xavi came through Barcelona Academy before finding his way into the Barcelona senior squad and established himself aa one of the clubs greatest player in history.

The 41-years-old was featured 767 times and winning eight La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies during his playing days in Barcelona.
