Chelsea Teams to face Brighton – Jorginho, Kante & Pulisic to star in our Predicted Line-up

The Blues are back in Premier League action on Tuesday evening as they host Brighton at Stamford Bridge

Just in case you had forgotten, there is indeed a football match being played tomorrow that involves Chelsea as they take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

All the talk over the last 48 hours in the world of football has involved the European Super League, a new competition that the Blues have signed up for seemingly in fear of missing out rather being a driving force behind it, alongside eleven other teams, five of them from the Premier League.

Hot News!!   Thomas Tuchel made his four striker shortlist to sign in the summer transfer windows

Oh, and former Blues manager twice over Jose Mourinho was sacked by Spurs on what was a very Manic Monday in the world of football.

Thomas Tuchel, current custodian at Chelsea, had the absolutely thankless task of being the first manager of one of the 12 clubs signed up for the ESL to have to face the media at what turned out to be a somewhat fractious press conference on Monday.

But, he did give some team news ahead of the visit of Brighton to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, where a win could see Chelsea move back into the top four at the expense of West Ham, who slipped up away at Newcastle on Saturday.

Defender Andreas Christensen should be fit to start if selected, having sat out the last two games through injury. Thiago Silva may well be rested to allow the Dane to return.

N’Golo Kante’s workload will be managed but with Mateo Kovacic likely to miss out on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, it’s likely to the Frenchman will still get the nod.

Edouard Mendy is set to return in goal having sat out the FA Cup semi final victory over Man City at the weekend which Kepa started in and kept another clean sheet.

Hot News!!   Chelsea Boss - Thomas Tuchel Promised Premier League Title for Chelsea  next season

In defence, Reece James could well be rested for Callum Hudson-Odoi if Tuchel sees fit, while on the left Marcos Alonso is pushing for a recall at the expense of Ben Chilwell.

Jorginho and Mason Mount are almost certain to start in the middle of the park which means, once again, there are questions in the final third.

Tuchel likes to rotate his players, starting both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for the FA Cup victory at the weekend, leaving Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz on the bench.

It’s possible that the latter two could be recalled for the visit of the Seagulls to Stamford Bridge, but then again they could still find themselves on the bench with a Champions League semi final on the horizon next week.

Tuchel has yet to name an unchanged side since taking over from Frank Lampard in January and that is highly likely to be the case once again in midweek.

Hot News!!   Injury Update!! Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi spread injury fears with shoulder issue during England Under 21 duty

Trying to second the German head coach is tough at the best of times but this is the time we think he will go with:

Mendy; Hudson-Odoi, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso; Jorginho, Kante; Mount, Pulisic, Havertz.
