Transfer Update!! Chelsea to sign €90 million Atletico Madrid ace

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are targeting Atletico Madrid‘s Jan Oblak in the next summer transfer window according to the latest transfer speculations.

The world-class keeper holds a high profile title along with the best keepers like Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Thibaut Courtois, and Alisson Becker.

Reports suggest that Chelsea had a talk with the agent of Oblak and a deal is likely as per the current situation. Though the Slovenian is having a great time in the Spanish capital and Atletico are enjoying the service of the player in an influential way. (Todo Fichajes)

Completing 283 games in Los Rojiblancos, Oblak is a club legend in Spain. His contract with Atletico ends in 2023 and the club have not revealed any extension plan as of now. The season is looking fine for Diego Simeone and boys and they are leading the league table with clear dominance.

The season output will decide the future of Oblak in Madrid and he is taking the job with most consistency for years in La Liga. Atletico Madrid are taking on Chelsea in the Champions League knockouts which is a tough challenge in the European campaign.

Jan Oblak target for Chelsea?

Tuchel setting for Jan Oblak at Chelsea
Chelsea signed Senegalese keeper Edouard Mendy last year and he got some wings to settle in front of the goal. Kepa Arrizabalaga is still suffering to gain playing minutes in Stamford Bridge. The situation is the same in the new setting of Thomas Tuchel for Kepa.

Signing another keeper for the first team is a possible strategy for the Blues to keep up the strength of the squad. According to Guardian, Chelsea are planning an approx budget of €90m for the project Oblak. That would be the record fee for a keeper in the club after Kepa’s £71.6m fee.

As per the reports of Marca, Jan Oblak holds a release clause of €120m in Spain. That will make the deal far-expensive for Stamford Bridge. Also, this season profile will calculate the finance allocation for Tuchel’s side.

Leaving Kepa for an open deal is another possibility to land Oblak to West London. Kepa is out of favour as of now and needs urgent come back to claim a guaranteed spot under Tuchel.

Sky Sports also rejects the talks as another keeper signing is unlikely for Chelsea. If Mendy can offer more with consistency, the deal is out of the plan for Chelsea. Because they need some more boost in the aging midfield department.

The Tuchel regime is going unharmed for Chelsea as they managed to stay out of a defeat. They are up against Barnsley for FA Cup 5th round clash. A title is urgent for Tuchel to lock his position in West London.

Rumor market is celebrating the lead with much expectation. Switching to Premier League will unleash the great talent out of Oblak with intense competition. Although, Summer would be a busy window for Chelsea as they are awaiting the impact of a new manager.

The UCL knockouts would add some suggestions for this update. The fixture against Atletico will create some plans in Tuchel’s mind. Seeing Oblak on-field and facing him would create new impressions for the German regarding the deal.
