“We Are Ready To Go” – Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger Speaks on Winning The UEFA Super Cup

Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has said that Chelsea winning the UEFA Super Cup is the best way to start off a new season.

The Champions League holder are set to clash with Europa League winner Villarreal in Belfast as the two teams battle for the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night.

Antonio Rudiger who speaks on Chelsea winning the UEFA Super Cup clash against Unau Emery’s Villarreal while speaking to the press ahead of UEFA Super Cup clash.

“We have to look at ourselves, not to underestimate anyone It would be a good start to the season (to win the Super Cup),” the German international said.

“We have to be up for it. It has to be in our mind to win trophies. No matter the circumstances, you have to go for it.”

The blues looks like a firm favourites in this tie after an impressive pre-season performances.

Chelsea will be playing Villarreal in Belfast on Wednesday evening, with 4 days to their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace.

The 28-years-old centre-back added: “We have to be ready in our minds to go to the limit. The good thing is we have a good squad. I feel good, rest was needed. Now we are back to work to give 100 per cent.

“We are feeling good, feeling great. A lot of players had a good pre-season. We are ready to go.”
