Aubameyang and Lacazette ‘are not right for Arsenal’ but 25-goal-a-season superstar Lukaku will be the best Arsenal Signing

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are no longer right for Arsenal, but Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku would be.

This season, Arteta has tried out a number of different systems, including 4-3-3 and 3-4-3, before seemingly settling on 4-2-3-1, a formation that has seen either Aubameyang or Lacazette lead the front-line.

But with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emil Smith-Rowe shining – Nicolas Pepe putting in some decent performances and with the addition of Martin Odegaard to that midfield, Arteta needs a forward that can do different jobs to what Auba and Lacazette can.

Arsenal fans now find themselves in the the strange reality of needing an Olivier Giroud-type player to lead that attack… that has the ability to hold the ball up, but also add a bit of pace to that front-line.

Arteta needs a player with strong finishing ability, as well as the skill to hold the ball up bring his fellow attackers into the game, a player like Milan star Lukaku, who is impressing over in Serie A.

The powerhouse was surprisingly sold by Manchester United just a few seasons ago, despite the fact he was a goal-scoring machine, but since his move to Italy, it has reached another level and his performances are attracting the interest of Pep Guardiola over at Manchester City

The gap in Giroud’s armoury was his lack of pace, but having that powerhouse option up-top for the club would give Arsenal the ability to fire the ball over the midfield – a strong part of Thomas Partey’s game.

Ultimately, if Arteta want to persist with the 4-2-3-1, he will have to trade move Lacazette or Aubameyang on and bring in an upgrade – someone taller, more tenacious and much quicker.

Lukaku would cost alot of money, but we all know the powerhouse loves the Premier League, and considering his two top stars aren’t firing like he needs, Lukaku would be perfect right?
