Mikel Arteta Explain Why Arsenal Captain Pierre-emerick Aubameyang Was Dropped In 3-0 Win Over Southampton

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emeirck Aubameyang was dropped by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta in the Gunners squad that defeated Southampton 3-0 yesterday after the Gabon international missed training on Friday.
Mikel Arteta left Aubameyang out of his squad when the Gunners host Southampton on Saturday evening, and the Gunners boss has described his as a disciplinary breach.
Mikel Arteta said: “Unfortunately due to a disciplinary breach. I think we have been very consistent that we have certain non-negotiables in the team that we have set ourselves as a club, and he’s not involved today.”
And now more details has been revealed over the Gunners captain absence in yesterday game.
According to The Athletic, it was reported that Aubameyang was granted permission to fly abraod for personal reasons but the Gabon international decided to returned late and due to travel protocols, he had to missed training on Friday.
The Arsenal boss then withdrawn his captain name from the squad that hosted Southampton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, a game the Gunners went on to win by 3-0 and secure all the 3 points needed as they move to fifth spot on the league table.
