Match Day!!! Arsenal’s Predicted Lineup to face Leads United: Leno to resume back to goal

Arsenal's predicted lineup

Arsenal’s Predicted Lineup:The Gunners would be capitalizing on a brilliant performance over the weekend to take on Leeds United at the Emirates in the EFL Cup Round of 16 on Tuesday with the hope to move to the next round and possibly fight for silverware.

We would be taking a peek at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners produced without any doubt their finest performance of the season when they took on Aston Villa on Friday. They were terrific in all departments and will feel optimistic ahead of Leeds visit. However, there could be some potential changes to give some of the players a rest.

We are going to see the team line-up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with outcast Bernd Leno back in goal.

More transitions can be anticipated in the defense with Cedric and Rob Holding coming in for Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White respectively.

Gabriel is likely to continue as the additional center-back to strengthen the pace to deal with Leeds’s attackers. Kieran Tierney a concern for this game, Nuno Tavares is expected to continue as the left-back.

Thomas Partey would most likely be replaced by Mohamed Elneny. Arteta has to agree on fielding either Albert Sambi Lokonga or Ainsley Maitland-Niles to be the other central midfielder.

However, both starting midfielders have to be wary of the passing and pressing qualities of the visitors.

Martin Odegaard is expected to continue as the central attacking midfielder. And on the flanks, it is going to be Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli. These two need to look to use their tempo to spread the Leeds defense and produce scoring opportunities. If they can do the regular, the Gunners should easily get on the scoresheet.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started on Friday, they should be on the bench for this game. Eddie Nketiah who has looked decent and hungry in this competition will start as the center-forward. It will not be easy to get the better of Leeds, but the north Londoners have the skill to pull off a good result.
