Arsenal vs Watford: The London giants have been given an upswing as they are preparing to come back to PL action with Watford, with Kieran Tierney seen back in first-team training coming after an injury layoff.

The Scottish international has missed the Gunners’ last three games after an ankle problem, his last feat was in Arsenal’s theatrical 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on the 18th of October.

There had been a probability that Kieran would be a part of the squad versus Leeds United in the Carabao Cup, but the defender was not active and thereafter missed Arsenal’s next game, which was their 2-0 victory against Leicester City.

Summer signing Nuno Tavares came to take Tierney’s place in the PL, while Sead Kolasinac played the full 90 minutes as goals from Calum Chambers obtained the Gunners a 2-0 victory over Leeds United.

The Spanish coach has been incapable of verifying whether or not the 24-year-old defender will be ready to make his return this weekend, but Mikel Arteta will certainly have inhaled and exhaled a sigh of relief as the left-back joined full training earlier today.

Sixth-placed Gunners are likely to make a late examination on the Scottish defender’s fitness as they look to make it four wins from four games in all competitions on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal are trotting a nine-game unbeaten roll and could soar into the top four with a win over Watford.

The Gunners’ only other fitness problem is Granit Xhaka, the midfielder who is undergoing a serious knee injury in Arsenal’s 3-1 win against Tottenham last month.
