Arsenal’s Thomas Partey Sustained Ankle Injury In A Pre-season Game Against Tottenham

Partey injurt doesn’t look too serious thou but the 28-years-old is set to miss Arsenal League Opener against Brentford and the home game against Chelsea.

Also, facing Manchester at the end of August remain a dount for the midfielder.

Arsenal issued a statement on the club website ahead of last week Tottenham pre-season game on the Ghanian

“Thomas sustained an injury to ligaments in his right ankle during the friendly match against Chelsea last Sunday,” a statement reads. “Thomas continues to be assessed and is expected to be back in training in approximately three weeks.”

Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal also confirmed that Eddie will be out for up to a month due to ankle injury.

The young striker has been linked to a move away from the North London club this summer before sustaining the injury.

Rob Holding

Rob Holding was absent in the Pre-seasom against Tottenham, whike Mikel Arteta delivered update on the defender confirming the centre-back was left out due to fitness.

Sport Physiotherapist Thiago Pegoretti had took to Instagram to share some good news about the Gunners defender.

Joe Willock is set to join Newcastle on a transfer record fee of £25 million, Willock spend half of last season on loan at Newcastle. The striker was left out of the squad that played Tottenham last week.

William was also out of the team that faced Spurs but the Brazilian is back to training and Mikel Arteta remain in-charhe of his decision.

Ben White, Albert Sambi, Hector bellerin, Kieran Tierney, Nicolas Pepe, Granit Xhaka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Alenxandre Lacazstte are fully fit and ready for competition ahead of the Premier League opener.
