Arsenal star Smith Rowe explained he had to change his diet and lifestyle to earned England call-up

Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe admits he had to made some changes to his diet and lifestyle to break into Gareth Southgate England squad.

Arsnal boss Mikel Arteta has earlier priased the England International recent performance and claimed the youngster “lifestlye changes” have play a huge part in his club brilliant performance which has earned him his first senior England call-up.

21-years-old Emile Smith Rowe has scored in each of his last three games for the Gunners’.

The Gunners midfielder says: “I didn’t used to eat that well to be honest. I used to get cramp after 60minutes and stuff”

“I wasn’t eating great, I wasn’t drinking that well, before games I wasn’t really that hydrated but since then I’ve tried to focus so much on it.

“Maybe that was killing me a little bit. I’ve tried to cut out chocolate and takeaways as much as I can. I like Nandos a lot. But I’m always eating from home now.

“My family have helped me a lot in the house as well, cooking for me. It was mainly my diet, nutrition and stuff like that. That’s really helped me.

“The club have sorted me out a chef and stuff, they come to my house now. I live with my mum. My mum normally cooks but she doesn’t have to cook more.”

Smith Rowe will be handed his first senior team test whe England play Albania this week in their bid for the 2022 World Cuo spot.
