Good News!! Arsenal make first offer for Brasileirao highly rated youngster

Danilo to Arsenal

Arsenal are apparently planning another attempt on Brazil after spotting Palmeiras star Danilo as the ideal addition to bolster their midfield.

Since Ainsley Maitland-Niles joined Roma on loan till the end of the season, and Thomas Partey is representing Ghana at the Afcon, the team is short on options in the middle of the park.

Mikel Arteta, the club’s manager, said that his midfielder was suddenly’very short’ and that the club is willing to bringing in new players this january if the appropriate January move presented itself.

Arsenal has reportedly made an offer possibly close to €25 million (£21 million) for Danilo, according to Brazilian site R7 – however a winter transfer could be tricky to pull through.

The Brazilian club is hoping to maintain hold of the 20-year-old star this month because they will be competing in the Club World Cup next month, and the player’s contract runs until 2025.

He is highly regarded and has an £86 million release clause, which is higher than Arsenal’s bid of €20 million upfront plus additional €5 million in attach.

However, if Danilo pushed for a move, that could be enough to entice him away from Alviverde, with the club aware that it would be a huge opportunity for him.
