Ramsdale has been superb for the Gunners since joining from Sheffield United over the summer and he’s yet to suffer a defeat with the Gunners.

However, while the England international has been one of the Gunners standout players so far this season, his move to the North London club was questioned by many Gunners fans over the summer.

Many fans questions the club decision to spend a whopping £30 million on a goalkeeper whose his team had been relegated from the League.

The 23-years-old went on to replace Bernd Leno as Mikel Arteta first choice goalkeeper at Arsenal.

Ramsdale has keep five clean-sheets in his eight games played for the gunners so far and Arsenal Legend Ian Wright who is a former Arsenal player has heap praise on the Gunners shoot-stopper for proving his doubters wrong.

Aaron Ramsdale brilliant save

“Ramsdale is a phenomenon for Arsenal for what he has done,’ Wright told Premier League Productions.

‘I am really pleased that it is turning out like it has for him because when we signed him for £30 million, people were teasing Arsenal, saying, “How can you sign a goalkeeper that has gone down twice?”

“What I see is a goalkeeper that brings so much to the team, not just his brilliant goalkeeping at the moment, but his attitude and the fact that he is that chest-beating, he gets the team going.

‘Because I think there are a lot of introverted players at Arsenal, and he is somebody that, he keeps Arsenal going.’

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta also revealed few days ago that one of the main reasons he opt to sign Ramsdale to the club was because of his personality.

‘Obviously we needed to identify where we can get better and what we were missing or how we want to mould our experience and our leadership,’ said the Spaniard.

And that is all obviously about personalities and the people you bring into the club, and we thought that Aaron could be very beneficial.

‘I watched a lot of clips and moments after he conceded a goal, making a mistake or a difficult moment, and that’s one of the big reasons that we made a decision to sign him because he could cope with those.’
