Arsenal January deal

Transfer Deadline day, fans still hoping for a possible Arsenal January deal, Arsenal set sight on 5 players still in for a possible January deal.

Arsenal’s start to the 2022 season has been dismal, with Mikel Arteta’s team exiting the FA Cup early and squandering crucial points in the hunt for a top-four finish.

Off the field, those problems have persisted, with the Gunners’ already-scarce team losing further players in the January transfer window and no new faces to reinforce the ranks.

Gunners began the month wanting to sign a central midfielder as well as a new striker, but they are still in the same situation as they were at the start of the month.

However, there is still time to complete a deal, and eplfans has offered odds for the five players most likely to join Arsenal today.

2/5 Alexander Isak:
Arsenal quickly directed their focus to Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak after failing to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. They may have edged closer to a deal.

Fans claimed to have spotted the Swedish striker’s car, which had a customized number plate, outside the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, while the forward was reportedly spotted shopping in London.

This has fueled rumors of a deadline-day deal, with Arsenal now favored to sign the striker before the end of the game tonight.

7/4 Arthur Melo:
The central midfielder mainly linked with a transfer to Emirates this month, Juventus’ Arthur Melo, appeared to be set for a switch to the Emirates Stadium – but talks with the Italian club are still ongoing.

Juventus is not interested in the six-month loan that Arsenal is proposing, preferring an 18-month loan with a long-term deal in 2023, and the news today is that talks have broken down.

With a contract with the player in agreement, negotiations with Juventus could be restarted to complete the transfer, but alternative business appears to be more likely today if there will be an Arsenal January deal.

7/2 Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Arsenal’s adoration for Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is well established, and the fact that he is a homegrown player further adds to his appeal.

Arsenal could have a chance to sign Calvert-Lewin in 2022, with Everton struggling at the bottom of the standings, but a January deal appears doubtful.

Frank Lampard is ready to take over at Goodison Park, and it would be surprising if one of his first acts is to authorize the club’s star striker’s departure.

Wijnaldum, Georginio – 5/1
Arsenal is searching for alternative options now that a contract for Juventus’ Arthur Melo appears to be dead in the water, and Paris Saint-Georginio Germain’s Wijnaldum is a possible target as fans expect An Arsenal January deal

The ex Liverpool playmaker has been dissatisfied by an opportunity in Paris and is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League, as well as a desire to live in the capital.

Mikel Arteta’s young side could benefit from the 31-year-Premier old’s League experience, and it’ll be interesting to see what happens.
Arsenal January deal is still looming in the sky.

5/1 Jonathan David
Strikers for Lille Arsenal have been interested in Jonathan David since his time with Genk in Belgium, and the Gunners have developed a relationship with the French team in recent years.

The Canada international has scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 this season, and a transfer to the Premier League is his ‘dream’ – though convincing Lille to sell later in January may be difficult.

Lille has always been prepared to sell, although it is understandable that they would prefer to do so in the summer.

Hopes for any Arsenal January deal look very unlikely as the club still finds it hard to make a final deal.
