Ac Millan have decided to make loan deal of Fikayo Tomori to be permanent

AC Milan have decided to make the signing of Fikayo Tomori permanent this summer and will trigger the £25million clause in his loan deal from Chelsea in the coming days.

The England international joined the Serie A giants in January and quickly established himself as a key figure in the Rossoneri side.

Tomori made 22 appearances for Milan and played a key role in helping Stefano Pioli’s side secure a second-place finish in the Italian top flight and Champions League football for next season.

Clinching elite-level European football was understood to be a big factor in whether Milan would trigger the option in the loan deal that took Tomori.

The 23-year-old has made a big impression in Italian football since leaving the Blues, receiving praise from legendary defenders Paolo Maldini and Franco Baresi.

“It is very nice to hear these things, especially from a legend like [Paolo] Maldini,” Tomori said in March ahead of Milan’s Europa League clash against Manchester United.
