Arsenal surprisingly came away with a draw from Anfield in the caraboa cup semi finals on Thursday.

Mikel Arteta would have been so pleased to see his side end with a draw, in what was suppose to be a different match entirely.

Mikel Arteta will be worried following how Arsenal suffered so much Against Liverpool at Anfield. The Spaniard saw how Liverpool controlled the game and almost won the match.

Let’s take a look at what went wrong on that night.

#1. Arsenal keeps commiting Too many errors.

The team committed so much error resulting in creating more chance for Liverpool to pressure them during the game.

The defense should be Happy as if the red, was very clinical in the final third the game could have been something else. imagine the likes of Salah mane being able to help Liverpool…

#2. Wasting chance

Arsenal might have suffered against Liverpool but if they had taken their little chance, there’s possibility the team would have surprisingly won away to Liverpool .

Arsenal were not clinical in the area same as Liverpool who had more chance but wasted them all.

#3. The Red card curse

Xhaka causing Arsenal problem again

Xhaka causing Arsenal problem again

The gunners had to do more when xhaka was sent off early on, in the first half ( 24,min) the team had to withstand Liverpool attacking pressure, but was lucky to face a wasteful Liverpool side, who couldn’t get the ball cheaply pass Arsenal goalkeeper.

Xhaka red is Arsenal second red card in their last 3 games. Arsenal have received red in their last two big match.
The coach honestly needs to speak to his players, to avoid repeating such mistake.

Mikel Arteta now await Liverpool at the Emirates for the second leg, Arsenal will have to play a lot better than this to defeat Liverpool.
