Arsenal got a desirable triumph against Aston Villa on Friday night, and the merit has to go both to manager Mikel Arteta and his players for a flawlessly executed game strategy.

The Gunners may now be unbeaten in six league games after their 3-1 win against Aston Villa, but they haven’t always looked assured in that run. They were, nevertheless, prominent for long spells against a pretty dangerous opponent.

The Portuguese fullback came in for the injured Kieran Tierney to make his full Premier League debut and he took his chance with both hands, ransacking up and down the left-hand side.

Tavares has stride to burn and he looks full of energy, and while there are question marks over him defensively, he certainly provides the team with another attacking platform.
